Jetaudio will do and play anything you throw at it. I've tried everything and never found anything that compares to jetaudio for performance and ease of use. Newer isn't always better. I use an older version because it has better features and is more user friendly.
Cowon JetAudio v8.0.17.2010 Plus VX
If you want it and can't find it. PM me.
You may still need to install the K-Lite Codec Pack to play all the latest formats
I should also mention that I have never tried it on Windows 10 but I'm fairly sure it is compatible.

Hi, miok, thanks for the info. I used to use jetaudio but I can't remember why I stopped. foobar doesn't look nice enough. perhaps I should rethink jetaudio. I'm downloading it now, the basic version, from their website. If it doesn't work, I might ask you for the version you use. Thanks, mate

Glad to help SwordWell Hope it solves your problem. I've never used the basic version, so I don't know which features it lacks

Hello  SwordWell, i have the same problems with that new version 1709. I upgrade from 1703 and work very slowly. Delete many programs, utorrent, avc free and others. Download from Microsoft a new version with creation tool, make a clean install and the same problems. My browsers not working ok. So, i reinstall my 1703 version and now everything it's fine. The solution it's reinstall a stable 1703 and wait for Microsoft to repair the bugs in they 1709 version.

I truly thought of that, it was so frustrating. I checked to see if I could uninstall the latest updates, but I couldn't find the "roll-back" option.
Like I said in the beginning of the thread, I'm not tech savvy, so the easy solutions without resorting to a reinstall of the entire OS would be the wise choice for me.
Thanks for your help and hope Microsoft fixes all these issues soon.

With pleasure SwordWell, we are here to help our members. Myself will wait a month or two for fixing things. When appears 1703 Creators Update, needed 6 months to finish that version to be stable. Same will happen with 1709. To be honest, not much new things in update (1709) for my work. Will see what happens.

Most of the programs that were deleted by the Windows Update have been updated to work again.

Did everyone miss my post that included PatchMyPC free updater?
Most of the programs, if not all, are available and updated regularly (without the worry of additional spyware).

MusicBee, uTorrent, Audacity, calibre, em Client, Gimp, VLC, etc work just fine after running CCleaner (reg) and PatchMyPC.  It's usually just an issue with updates like MalwareBytes two weeks ago.
